Questions on Marquise Automatic Watch
- From jenni at 3/20/09 2:06 PM
- Please let me know what the numbers 60 - 600 signify. There is a 120 marking at the 30 minute mark, and other markings with differnce of 5 , ten and then twenty on the outer rim. Please let me know what these markings mean? Thanks!
- These numbers make up what is known as a tachymeter. It measures your speed during one mile. For instance, if you travel one mile in five seconds, you are traveling at 600 mph. If you travel one mile in 30 seconds, you are traveling 120 mph. If you travel one mile in 45 seconds, you are traveling 85 mph. The last measurement would be 60 mph (taking one minute to travel one mile).

- what is the difference between this and the classic?
What is the size of the watch in mm?
many thanks - The differences between this and the classic is that the Marquise comes with high-gloss alligator print leather bands instead of traditional leather grain. The Marquise also comes with brilliant blue sapphire stones on the buttons, crowns, and pins.
