Pearl Elements

Pearl Elements™ jewelry is made using our unique pearl farming and harvesting process. First, we use extra large Pinctada oysters that produce the highest volume of nacre. Nacre is what coats the inside of an oyster and is also what makes pearls themselves! Nacre is Pearl Elements™. Next, after having extracted the pearls that are used for other pearl jewelry, we extract as much of the naturally occurring nacre from the oyster. The nacre is then compressed into perfectly round spheres using a unique process Steinhausen has spent years perfecting. Once we have the perfectly shaped Pearl Elements™ beads, we go about tying everything together with a durable, sturdy double knotted rope held together with a 14k gold clasp with a safety catch.

100% Pearl Elements™

Our perfectly spherical Pearl Elements™ beads are 100% nacre, the element that makes up both natural pearls and cultured pearls. When you hold one of our Pearl Elements™ necklaces in your hands you will notice right away that you are holding quality. It's not just because these necklaces look like their $10,000 counterparts in the natural pearl necklace world. It's because our Pearl Element necklace will weight the same as the $10,000 counterpart. This is because of the unique process we use to make these stunning pieces of jewelry. They are 100% nacre. In other words, they are 100% the same material as a naturally occurring pearl!

Affordable Pearls?

To find a perfectly spherical pearl bead is rare. To find a 12mm perfectly spherical pearl bead is even more rare. To find enough of them to make a 18" pearl necklace with 12mm beads is so rare that the cost of such a necklaces starts getting up to that of a diamond necklace! Still, pearl necklaces are a thing of beauty, especially when they are made from pure Pearl Elements™. There is something about the way the pearls lay around a woman's neckline that no other necklace can match, not even diamonds. However, we're betting that most people don't have $10,000+ to spend on a pearl necklace and that less than $500 for an 18" Pearl Elements™ necklace is a much better fit for your budget.

Unlike Shell Pearls

Our special process is different from the shell pearl making process. Our process uses only the inner most layers of nacre for creating our Pearl Elements™ beads. This ensures a higher nacreous and iridescent appearance than a standard shell pearl. The end result is a Pearl Elements™ necklace that is stunningly beautiful and nearly indistinguishable from a natural pearl necklace. Of course, you'll notice the difference in your bank account when you save more than $9,500 with a Steinhausen Pearl Elements™ necklace.

Sizes and Shapes

Most pearls, whether they are cultured or natural are oddly shaped. The most common shape you will find in jewelry is the Baroque pearl and most beads will be between 4-6 millimeters. That's why these perfectly spherical, stunningly luster packed Pearl Element beads at 12mm and higher are unlike anything else you can find on the market!
